Been Hit Already

I've jus picked my car up on Sunday, after a much awaited transformation, and tonight some prick was blind enough not to see a huge bright silver car in front of him whilst (possibly) pulling out from the parking space behind me and scraping my bumper. How can these people justify holding a licence? Obviously now I'm going to be out of pocket because if I claim on my insurance I'm screwed, and if I tell them and not claim I still get shafted as I found out earlier in the year when my previous car was hit whilst left unattended. Makes me want to wring some necks

that sucks. some people believe the term bumper was derived so it was to be bumped in tight situations. i don't though. you don't learn to hit cars when learning, why pick it up when you've passed?

anyway, sucks for you. out of interest, why did you tell your insurance company if you weren't going to claim? i'd have just gone to a garage and sorted it if that was the case.

I just tried to be honest - they want to know everything as they can refuse to pay out for the littlest of excuses if you haven't kept informed. You live and learn though - I won't be telling them anything again unless I intend to claim.
