If you lower your car, it tends to have an effect on the tyre "life"?

I'd say not, I haven't noticed any difference, or even heard this mentioned before...

Just be sure to get it tracked up after you have lowered it.

Having done it to various cars the only issues I've had are potholes hurting more, I do try to avoid them...lol
And ramps in car parks, and steep drives that type I thing, causes the front to catch... The meganes not too bad for it but the alfa I had was terrible.. Got stuck coming out of a carpark once, it was mega low tho.

Think your cc would look mint lowered!

I was thinking 30mm lower but am nervous as I enjoy comfy driving.

You'll be fine with a 30 mil drop. So long as you buy high quality springs you will barely notice a difference in ride quality. I had Eibach Pro-Kit which were very good.
