For the last few days my Mégane 1.5DCi has been used for many short journeys (under 1 mile).
I haven't noticed any symptoms of a low battery, and it still cranks over nice and fast and starts promptly, but am I ruining either my battery or alternator (or both perhaps) by doing a lot of frequent short journeys where the engine has barely warmed up before it is shut down again ?
Am I ruining my battery/alternator ?

You might end up with a bad battery if the situation persists. However, there are more pressing things to address. If the engine doesn't get warmed up, moisture will not be driven from the oil. Keep a close eye on the oil condition. A good fast 15 minute drive once a week should keep problems at bay.
