Thank-You

Postby UK.BladeRunner » Tue Apr 19, 2011 9:10 am

Just wanted to say thank-you to everyone who helped me out over the past two and a bit years from this forum in relation to car issues experienced during that time. :rock

I have now sold the Megane II 1.6 Dynamique Sport Hatch after it started accruing numerous known issues straight after the 3 year warranty expired. Fair play to Renault though, they accepted some liability and coughed up 40% of the final cost for two of the problems (Dephaser Pully, Driver side Elec Window Regulator & door loom), but still received a final bill of £650 even after their discount. :hm Pretty much the last straw really in my decision to cut loose of it!

Very nice and enjoyable car to drive is the Megane II but I have to say that it is far too riddled with known issues to continue to keep ploughing additional funds into it when sub-standard components start to develop faults. :banghead The build quality both externally and internally IMPO is not quite to the same standard as most of it's German, American and Japanese rivals I'm afraid and have heard too many mixed negative reviews to consider upgrading to a Megane III.

Thanks again folks and happy motoring.... ;)

My meg II was one of the good ones but even that had more than a few issues, following it I drove Japanese for quite a while and recently switched to German, well Czech but German owned, and I have to say I agree with what you say.

Happy driving in whatever you get :tu
