Renault CLIP... Yourkshire Huddersfield
Just an offer...
I now have my CLIP with V107.
So if anyone in the area needs a hook up to the diagnostics / info / resets / TPM ect ect ... or even a play with the settings feel free to call by.
The only charge will be a packet of dry roasted peanuts!
On a side note I can also provide a new key if needs be, but due to the hardware there will be a small charge.

KP...
To do that wouldn't be much bother, as long as the loom is in place for the hardware.

Loom = wiring loom.
Ie. do you have the cables in place for the cruse control hardware?

If you prise off the pannel where the dash dimming is.
You should see a spare connector.
If you see the spare connector you can enable CC. If not you dont have the 'full' loom.
Mainly on 2003 - 2005 motors.

Yeah there are 2 spare, one for ESP and the other cruise control..
If I'm correct I believe I can retrofit cruise control, which will work, but then I'd need to take it to Renault, or maybe you?? To have it 'activated' so it desolate on the on board computer..

No, A key can only be programed once.
A second hand is of no use to man or beast.
Needs to be band new PCB. But our Chinese friends are good for that.

Paddy,
Kind of related to this post, but also not related as I'm no where in the Yorkshire area... but was wondering if you know this:
My mate has an 09 Clio 197, he's replaced the standard front seats with recaros which don't have side airbags.. obviously airbag light is permanently on - if he goes to a Renault dealer can they somehow instruct the airbag computer to ignore the two missing side airbags and turn the light off?
(I'm under the impression that since the airbag light is on right now, all airbags are disabled)
cheers!

You can trick it by putting a resistor in place of the airbag, resistor size will depend upon which airbag... Not sure of the sizes for the Clio, the clip would turn off the light but not sure if it could tell it there were no longer seat airbags, so in otherwords I think as soon as it checked for them on start up the light'd be back.. With the resistors it tricks the computer to thinking the airbags there...

Yea its a two min job.
You can disable each air bag sensor or belt pretensioner individualy with the CLIP.
If done correctly will leave the dash error free.
But dont disable the air bag check. you wont know when the part of the system fails that you want to work.
