Hi All

Many moons ago I used to own a Megane as a company car and loved it. I'm thinking of buying a 2003 RENAULT Megane 2.0 VVT Dynamique (petrol) and was wondering if anyone could answer the following:

How much (roughly) does it cost to fill up?
Typical MPG?

Thanks in advance :-)

Paul

Dunno about MPG but Meganes have 60 litre tanks. So if your fuel is at £1.32.9 it's gonna be around £80 to fill.

Our 2004 CC gets 38-40mpg on motorway runs at ~70 mph. Around town its more like 32mpg.

If you do long journeys, the diesel is the obvious choice. It's possible to achieve 70+ miles per gallon in mixed mode motoring.

Door to door school run stuff is where a petrol would be better.

In terms of performance, I don't know the figures for the petrol, but a 1.5dci correctly mapped will give 130BHP and 300Nm of torque. The 1.9dci will net you around 145 and 350 respectively. Diesels aren't slow, and have good economy. They just don't tolerate short trips.
