Folding Rear Seats

Hi All - for the first time since I've had my 3 door hatch - I've need to fold down the rear seats.

The smaller side, folds totally up out of the way, and the seat back goes down flat. However, the larger side seems to be clipped to the floor, and I can't find a release for it..

Can anyone tell me if it's either a) my total ineptitude - (VERY LIKELY LOL!)
or b) Is there something else I dont't know about.

Thanks

should release with a firm tug, however there is a locating thingy in the middle of the seat, a small bar runs round the seat from outer edge and looks like it locates into it, if you stick your hand palm down middle finger about 2.5 inches from seat belt clip you should feel the bar with the seat fabric clip, pull that up and towards you, the bar dont try getting the fabric clip on its own,,,,,

also relift the side you can lift see the metal bar running round and through the middle with a kink in it, the plastic seat cover clip and the locating thingy on the floor of the car....

The plastic handle grip at the back of the rear seat assembly (in the boot basically) is prone to failure. Mine is bust on the larger section. I don't fold the seats very often so I haven't fixed it. I recall that last time, I had to insert a screwdriver somewhere to pull the bar back. I'll have another look and get back to you.
