Newbie - Advice - Megane Gt 2.0DCI

Postby Dwabo » Sun Oct 17, 2010 7:56 pm

Hi.. First post so here goes..
Just come from A vaux vectra 2.0T and decided on the megane gt.
Just literally picked the car up and there are a few bits and pieces I want to ask advice on..please bare with me..

1. Are the sidelight bulbs easy to change? can I fit LED's?..if so which ones are reccomended..

2. Where can a buy a decent set of car mats?.. Renault logo / megane logo etc.. rough prices?

3. Car is due 3rd year service.. what is entailed? what parts are needed?

4. What sort of things can I do to ensure I dont break it?..

5. The megane decals are coming off the boot.. where can I get a single letter or do I have to get the whole word?.. or just de-badge??

Thanks for your patience!

Yes 501 fitting. Inverted LEDs are best to spread the light

2. Where can a buy a decent set of car mats?.. Renault logo / megane logo etc.. rough prices?

Renault Parts Direct, (standard RS ones)

3. Car is due 3rd year service.. what is entailed? what parts are needed?

Depends on milage. But the usual. Don't under estimate a cam belt change.

4. What sort of things can I do to ensure I dont break it?..

Dont drive it into a ditch...

5. The megane decals are coming off the boot.. where can I get a single letter or do I have to get the whole word?.. or just de-badge??

Im in favour of totaly removing the 'MEGANE' badge. Then using a dual action polisher and M3 fast cut to remove any shadow.
