easy way to change horn on megane

Postby leighton » Fri Sep 24, 2010 6:25 pm

i needed to change the horn on my 2004 megane and people say bumper off job . but if you take the left hand side plastic grille out of bumper pull from the bottom of grille , a screwdriver behind will do , when this is out you can see the horn it is right behind the chrome renault badge on bumper
hopes this helps people

Paddy,

It's been posted before. You can apparently successfully do the job with the bumper on, but like you, now I've had mine on and off countless times, it makes more sense to remove it for access.

Everyone else: it really does only take 10 minutes. At a push, 5 if you already have the tools out.

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

I bought a stebel horn and there was not a chance it was fitting through the grill gap.

Maybe if your swapping to one a similar size. But if swapping i wanted something half way loud so much bigger size. At least now i can hear the horn!!
