If you can't find a 2.0dCi 150, you could always have a re-map or fit a tuning box to the 1.9 engine. That will give you an extra 20- 30bhp and a shed full more tourque.

Have you thought about adding 17" Alloys yourself? Might be an option or something you could work into a deal.

PCP plan :eek had one of these on my last Laguna, it did not work in my favour and I lost a lot through it so personaly I would not go for another, but that is just my opinion.

My Laguna II 2.0dCi was a good car but I dont' think the installation of the 2.0 engine was as good as the 1.9dCi, it was quite gruff and boomy at low speed and noisy at tick over. My old 1.9dCi Laguna was very smooth and quiet. Can't comment on the installation in the CC?

However my Laguna III 2.0dCi is a different animal altogether, very quiet and amazingly smooth. With my tuning box fitted it is seriously quick. My friend has an Mazda RX8 231bhp and she's loves driving the Laguna on long journeys, she even recons it would keep the RX8 honest in a straight line race.
:devil

Happy hunting and don't worry too much about the service interval just yet!

2.0 dCi's are even rarer than 1.9's so that might be a pipe dream. I'd be interested in the re-map or tuning box of which you speak though that is rather over my head. Does it affect insurance, engine life, fuel consumption etc?

On reflection, if it doesn't have 17" Alloys then I'd definitely be up for getting them fitted... that way I could have some funkier, non-Renault standard ones.

And as for finance, basically, I am paying about £270 per month at the moment. All I want is to be in a newer car and be paying around the £200 per month mark. If that means PCP I'll go for it, but if there's another way, I'm game.

You've got me thinking...

Priority now though is I have 3 months to end of PCP at which point I have to either A) Pony up £4000+ which I don't have to keep the car  or B) kiss her goodbye and have no ride :cry .

I just hope the new Meg III CC means the market gets flooded with 2nd hand, 2 and 3 year old Meg II CCs as people buy Meg III CCs as replacements.

Right now, I'm open to suggestions coz Dee-Dee needs a new ride!

Have you looked on Autotraders website?

A quick search on Friday brought back quite a few 1.9dCi CC's that looked pretty good.
Make improvements, not excuses!

Trouble is the Finance thing in that I can afford monthly payments, but not to buy outright.

The majority of the ones I saw on Autotrader were from dealers, so finance would not be a problem!

You might have to travel a bit to find one but hey ho!

So, I've been putting off my service for a couple of months now, but yesterday the SERVICE light came on with the message "Check Injectors".

I have caved in and am going to get her serviced on Monday.

Still no sign of a suitable 1.9DCi Coupe Cab though... the search continues.

Well, my CC is in for service today. Just a basic one and have asked them to take a look at the "Check Injection" problem too.

In the meantime, I'm still having no luck at all finding a replacement CC.

Not quite desperate yet...

Well, having caved in and got her serviced it turns out I need new Glow Plugs.

The dealership wanted £156 so I told them not to bother. Also, as bloody usual, my brakes need work. 2 front pads. Again, dealership wanted £154 so I passed on that kind offer.

Now, all I need to do is find a 2008, 1.9 DCi CC with under 20K on the clock and keyless, handsfree entry soon and I won't have to bother getting either of those jobs done.

My dream motor is out there... somewhere...
