clio engine into my megane

hi guys , the megane engine is dead lol it has bent 10 valves and has damage the pistons to, the tensioner bearing collapsed, now im looking for a replacement engine and came across a clio with the same engine code, its a 1.4k4j the same as my megane , the only differences i can see is the oil filer on the rocker cover is in a different place , other than that they look identical, would it be safe to assume this will fit my 2003 megane

Are you doing a full transplant or just a short engine? The basic block and head I would think will be the same? Take note of Daves advice though.

yes would just be the head and block , everything else will be from the megane
