Mazda RX8 repairs!

Postby IainMW » Mon Feb 08, 2010 9:06 pm

If you think Renault's are expensive to repair, read on.

I have a very good friend who has been having trouble with her RX8 recently. Got a text from her today to say that it is at Mazda in Bolton and it requires the following items.

Starter motor, leads, coils, sump plate, suspension link, wiper blades, a bulb and a full service.

Total cost £3000 :eek :eek :cry :cry

It's 5 years old and has done 50K

Any motor that drinks more oil than petrol i would stay away from, as her experiance proves!

id be very unhappy if such a new car needed a starter, coil and leads. My missus has a 06 231 rx8 and i love driving it.

My boss also has one, he had a incident in the snow last month, for a new headlight they wanted 500quid, the light PLASTIC square headlight washer was 80quid and the washer itself was about 300 :eek

get about 20mpg aswel. But you dont buy that kind of car and expect it to be cheap.
