when i were a lad, when snickers were called marathons and i remember a mars bar costing 18p, no one ever bothered with an extended warranty. What are you expecting to go wrong to justify one?

I've been looking at new cars over the last few weeks and salesmen are obviously(commision!!) hard selling the warranties.
Reason given by all salesmen is "imagine if the turbo went that'd be about £1000"
Suppose it's down to assessing the risk by the car owner.
Had my Megane for over 5years and it's had very little go wrong so wouldn't have been worth it.

True. From what I've read contacting Renault UK and complaining can get you big discounts on parts and labour.

Doesn't matter if it's bought used from an independant or not, it's still a Renault, so if you have problems contact... Renault.
