Sorry not been around much recently. Long story short is I volunteered for redundancy to save other poor shmucks from getting chopped; then I went to America for a three month / 40 states / 15,000 mile road-trip (in a mahoosive 2008 Dodge Charger!) and now I'm back lookign for nwork desperately trying to keep payment up on my Meg II CC.
Anyhoo, I had to drop by to slag off the new Vauxhall Astra! I only saw it today and it's NASTY! Looks like the designers took tranquilisers and sleeping pills and thought about fluffy bunnies and zimmer frames when they put pen to paper (or mouse to CAD program). Here's what I said in a discussion I started over on the official Renault Facebook group.
ACK! I've just seen the new Vauxhall Astra. It's *HIDEOUS*. They really added extra bland to that recipe. No wonder GM are going down the crapper... I really liked the old Astra. I had a few on rental including a Coupe Cabriolet (which was great until the roof busted!). The old one, especially the Coupe had guts and attitiude; looked really mean and was the only thing to come close to the Megane for looks.
