The Mégane II Owners' Club

I was talking to a friend today about wheels in the meggy,

He says his spare wheel was a steel wheel but he has the standard 16" alloys.

I thought all meganes that had alloys as standard, the spare was also an alloy.

nope. i'm not aware of any standard cars (other than 4x4's) that come with alloy spare.

Can any one confirm this? Mainly owners of the Saloon as i have five of the neverstellas.

Steel spare and different bolts. Why would any manufacturer give away a free alloy? Be greatful it isn't a space-saver.

Im not, i just always thought they came with a fifth alloy, as my car did. I was surprised when my chum said his was a steel...

i`ve got nervasports on mine and i also have a steel spare,so if anyone has 4 steels on theirs with an alloy spare we could do a deal

ours is the same steel,both on Megane and the Clio.I think the new cars come with space-saver (might be wrong)

even the new Megane Coupe has got full size steel wheel in the boot

I have a steel one in boot with different bolts, so to has the wife not that she had a clue what i was talking about, look confused for a moment and then went back to talking about kittens and knitting.............
