If you could add one more manufacturer's option...

Postby MéganeDynamique » Mon Jul 27, 2009 1:27 am

What would it be?
For those of us who bought used we kind of had to settle for whatever the first owner asked and paid Renault extra for. But if you could add one more official option to your Mégane, what would you choose?
Ottoman Blue 2.0 VVT Privilège 5 Door - Full beige leather, ESP, Xenon headlights, Carminat Navigation, Cruise etc.
Ink Blue 2.0 VVT Dynamique 3 Door... Black Leather, heated seats, panoramic sunroof, tyre pressure sensors, Hands Free etc.

Electrically folding mirrors, which I'd use occasionally. I'm really quite happy with my Dynamique...

IMO if you need rear parking sensors you shouldn’t be on the road!

I would have the panoramic sunroof and full leather (black, not that terrible cream interior). That’s pretty much the only 'extras' I don’t have.

**note**

For those that dont have it,cruise control can be activated and used via the steering wheel stereo controls. All wiring is already there in 'most' cars. Pull off the panel that has the dash brightness control etc and you will see a brown connector. This is the crusise control wiring. All that is needed is a few resistors, length of cable and a bit of time.

i sort of share ulrich's view on the use of parking sensors.. you learnt to reverse without them... and you should be able to reverse fine regardless of car without them.
However.. the company S-Max i drove had them.. and i can understand why ppl buy them and use them.. but i turned the thing off, got out of the car to check if that i was as close as possible to the wall.. and job done.

HID's i would have liked on my car. I'm glad i chose cruise control over the 17" alloys.

Well, I've got heated seats, but they take ages to warm up and then they burn your ass. Plus it's just on or off. In my Golf IV it took just 30 seconds and they had 5 settings.

So: use an aftermarket set (Waeco).

In the 406 it was only on or off on the switch but they would warm up to temperature then keep it consistent by going on and off by itself.

They were lovely
