So REA group in Oldham want £892.82 for the 72k service. this is broken down as:
Service: £887.45
Environmental Costs: £5.37
Total Cost: £892.82
This doesn't include the MOT it will need either. an extra £54. it probably doesn't include most of the filters I want replaced either nor the air con service.
Waiting for a quote from an independant (www.riverside-revilo.co.uk) in Manchester for the following:
72k service - replacing all filters (oil, air, fuel, cabin, pollen)
air con service.
cambelt change, aux belt change
replace water pump
change brake fluid
possibly something else that i've forgotten.
anyone recommend other garages that can supply a courtesy car as well??

Have a look here https://www.boschcarservice.co.uk/
Courtesy car might be a sticking point?

i know your supposed to do this. but when mine his 72k i did the cambelt + pulleys. i did an oil change when i got it at 65k then again at 75k. (and again at 85k) didnt bother with the coolent or brake fluid and its been fine. Mine actually takes ages to reach normal temp, and have done the air con cleaner thing today where it sat at idle not moving for 15mins did still didnt budge off the normal temp bar. i think the dealers only include this to sting your for more money.

Re: 72k Service Cost
I was charged £490 for my 72k service, cambelt & accessory belt, a new battery and a new glow plug from my Renault dealer back in 2007 - but then I have a relative who is a salesman there who can get discount!

Re: 72k Service Cost
that's an awful lot.. saying that,i just had my cambelt done, and that came to £275, and now the variable valve cam is playing up, so that may have to be changed too for a further £400.
