How long have you owned your Megane?
Just curious as to how long people have owned their current or previous meganes?
Will have had it 5 years 1 month now. Ours is a 03 reg which we bought it 10 months old way back in June 2004. Car is coming up on 6 years old in August
Thankfully only had a few minor issues with it, drivers door handle sensor, window relay and rear seat tensioner. Hopefully many more miles to go as only racked up 45000 miles on the it so far.

Ive only had mine 1 year 6 months. Mine also is 6 years old in August but its only got 35000 miles on the clock
Only problem ive had with mine was it needed a new battery 2 weeks ago and thats it *touches wood*
Probably only keep it another year then its time to move on, i get board at about 2-3 years going by my history with other cars

Had my 1.6VVT Privilege saloon for 5 months now, clocked up 3,000 mls.
In that time replaced 1 window regulator (£190), 1 puncture repair (£5) and
recharged the air-con (£45). Still looking as good as the day I purchased it.

Re: How long have you owned your Megane?
I've had my Meggy Grandtour '07 for 14 months now (bought with 17.000Km), 1.5 dCi 106HP, 70.000Km (43.000miles), no problems except for diesel leak on a common rail return pipe (strangely enough it was fixed by itself), numerous bulb changes (for that reason I now have HID 6000K), and the inside mirror that came off (fixed under warranty, together with resonance block on the exhaust, came off by itself, too). The car is spacious (longer wheelbase than in hatch), extremely comfortable (cruise control, auto aircon, heated seats, el. windows and side mirrors), safe (ESP, etc....). I drive 2200Km (1375miles) with it in 18 hours (non-stop), sleep for 6 hours, and feel fresh after this mini-Le mans.

Re: How long have you owned your Megane?
Bought mine in January this year.
04 plate with 50,000 miles on. Dealer changed cam belt for free and i walked away paying £3500. 3 months warrenty was good as i had window motors(both) done for free.
No problems since then and its just going for a service on thursday at 75,000, bit late but been busy of recent. Will hit 100,000 before christmas
To the guy above, Dad's got a 2.2 civic, drove it many a time, it goes like the clappers and if your dont drive like that its good on fuel. Got it up to 143mph and getting 38.7mpg, cannot complain at that!!! well a copper can.
Anyway, Megane is brilliant!!!

Re: How long have you owned your Megane?
Had mine for 4 and a half years now. Bought it with 20,000miles on the clock at a year old. It caused me nothing but hassle for nearly two years. Magically though, after the last warranty claim at 60,000 miles it stopped going wrong - just as well since the warranty expired! Now at 107,000miles, everything is fine!
