Grass Cuuting Central Reservations?

As title says why why why?

It does my head in for the last week now i've had to add at least 30 mins X2 on my journeys as our council is at the time of year where cutting the grass is needed. This for some reason(prob cost) cannot be done at night but has to be done during the day with of course one lane coned off for miles and a nice 40mph speed limit in force.

Surely road designers could just concrete central res rather than growing grass. Or here's a thought why can't they just let it grow during summer then die off during winter?

Rant over must get some sleep have to be up early to get to work on time :banghead

You get some sleep mate, sounds like you need it ;) :grin

A council near us cordened off the outside lanes, on both sides, of a busy dual carriageway to do what? Plant feckin bulbs it took weeks and caused some major tailbacks. They've probably done the same this year but fortunately I don't drive through there any more, as you say things like this should be done at night.

I have the same problem in my town at the moment.

One lane in and out of town.

Although it takes them an age to cut it i would rather its done than not.

I guess these small steps are why the town has recieved the award of 'best kept town in the Uk' for the last 6 years..
