fap or non fap??

being a newbie to Renaults i see a lot of mention of Fap ond non fap..
could someone elighten me?
btw..my car is an 07 2.0 dci...

of the megane 2's:

1.9dCi 130, 2.0dCi 175, 2.2dCi 140 have a FAP
All other engines (including 1.9, 2.0 and 2.2 with different power outputs) are non-FAP engines.

Everything on the mk3 diesel now has fap the 90 110 130 160 hp

Can I throw a spanner in the works here as my 2010 Scenic Dynamique Tomtom 1.9dci 130 doesnt have a fap fitted and this has been verified by Renault and I have a print out of my car as what and and was not fitted when it left the factory and this also states "Not fitted with particle filter".

So it appears that some later models were fitted with and without and adding confusion to this issue and just wish that there was a definitive answer to this :conf
