Megane Transmition oil and clutch bleeding

Hi everyone,
i 've got a megane 1.6 03 plate new shape.
I am trying to top up the transmition oil. I unpluged the little plastic pipe located under the battery on the transmition and checked the oil level but can not workout if it has enough oil in it or not from the top, how would I work out if it has enough oil ?
does there have to be oil all the way to top the oil plug hole ?

and secondly, based on my observation at the first, i tried to top up the oil but it was taking for ever, very slow to go down, i am not even sure if it went down to the gear box or was wasted by over flowing from the transmition. how long does it normally take to top it up normally. do you have to top it when the car is cold and off?

and finally i apprecite any advice on how to bleed the clutch.

Your car has the JH3 5 speed transmission and takes 2.8 litres of TransElf TRJ 75W-80 oil from empty.

The car must be level for the oil level to be properly checked. Add oil slowly. The correct amount is determined by the lower level of the filler plug. If you try to add more, it will be wasted (obviously!).

The clutch is bled by gravity - the bleed nipple is fitted to the slave cylinder at the front of the transmission bell housing. You will need to remove plenty of stuff (battery etc) to get to it. Keep plenty of fresh DOT 4 or better in the reservoir. Use a tube/bottle similar to the one man brake kit. Press the clutch down several times to make sure there are no bubbles.

Is it best to does this on all megane's as i got a 1.5 dci 86bhp 56plate and i wonder if thats the reason i hear a sort of grindin when drivin in gear's but goes away when put pressure on pedel.

I can get to the nipple without removing anything, it is quite easy to access. could u please explain a bit more about how to exactly do it.

what i did was, connect the bleeding tool to the nipple and keep pressing and releasing the clutch for over 10 mins but couldn't see any break fluid or bubble coming to the pipe. my tool is the one from halfords that has one way valve, let air out but not back in.

Provided you didn't forget to actually open the bleed nipple (and you got the right one and you had the one way valve on the pipe the correct way around), I'm stumped. Anyone got a 1.5 and has done this (mine is 1.9)?
