What's your best average MPG...?

Hi,

I've just purchased an 08 Megane Dynamique DCI 106 from Renault Manchester and she's BRILLIANT !

I live on the Wirral and work in Manchester which is about an eighty mile round trip every day.

I'm up to 53.1 average MPG which is LOADS better than my old 99 Laguna Executive 2.0 was (32.1 average MPG)

What's your best average MPG in similar cars...?

I'm driving her like Miss Daisy to get the best average MPG I can... yes I'm the fella doing 56 MPH in the slow lane on the M62 annoying the HGV's because they cant get past me !

In my megane 1.5 dci 80bhp
I am averaging 64.02mpg that was calculated on an app on my iphone
2366 miles 168 litres at a cost of £171.52
This was done with no motorway miles

If I get up to 60 average MPG I'll be well pleased.

My miles are split about equal between motorway and town driving.

i have a 1.4 megane bought her bout 6/7 weeks ago, am getting between 36-40 mpg driving her normal, not too easy not too hard, except for the odd wee bit of pedal to metal. mixed between motorway miles and A/B roads.

If I remember the best average I had out of my Megane 1.5dCi 100 was 66mpg down in Norfolk.

The wife's first Clio dCi 80 would regularly get into the low 70's when driven gently, her current dCi 86 seems to hover around 58-59mpg knocking around town and low to mid 60's on longer runs, and my Laguna 2.0dCi 150 acheived 54.3mpg on a run down to Bridgenorth and back last week end.

how do you do it?? I have a 1.5 dci oasis... and was really pleased to get 53mpg.... how do you get your results... I must be a really bad driver?? lol

I've got 58.6 mpg on a run on the motorway. Average usually around 49-54 mpg

The best average i got in my 1.6vvt is 42mpg over 600 miles at an average of 42 mph!
Im quite happy with that but town driving i only get between 32 - 36

I have a 2004 1.5 dci and travel from manchester to liverpool daily for work. The trip computer is currently showing 74.5mpg.

How accurate the mpg on the trip computer is i'm not sure but wow!
