spare wheel

Postby francium » Sat Apr 11, 2009 3:38 pm

hi my megane 225 hasn't got a spare wheel was wondering though can you buy a space saver for it or is a case of buying another alloy?? i ask this because i do alot of miles and don't want to depend on the puncture repair spray.

i'd try a scrap yard for a space saver or just a normal steel rim. spare on our 1.9d dynamique is a 16" std steel rim, not a space saver.

space saver shouldn't be a problem with 18"s. Our other car is a mondeo ST on 18" 225s and the space saver on that is only a 16" narrow space saver. had to use it before and i can see why they stick a low speed limit on using them :grin

space saver may only be an option, ask at dealers to confirm this and if it is then hunt down one at a breakers yard as should imagine renault will charge the earth as usual.

Wasn't it on the old Clio 182 where the exhaust took up the wheel well space?
