Colour code on the bumper inserts?

Thinking of adding some aftermarket parking sensors to my Megane, thought I would place the sensors in the bumper inserts. Looks best that way, I think. However, the sensors are in black and I would like to paint them more according to the colour of the bumper inserts. Does anyone know the colour code for the bumper inserts?

You can order a special spray paint at your Renault dealer for this, they use it themselves in the garage for fixing damaged cars. It's especially for painting plastic parts in the color grey of the Dynamique model (if this is what you mean?).

I've used it to respray the grey plastic door parts and they are now brand new again.

If you're repainting them, you should take them of the door, use very light sanding paper and then repaint the whole part to avoid colour difference when paiting only a small part.

Order number at Renault is 77.11.238.903 and it says "BB Pierre 205139". Costs €19,-

So your honour let me rephrase the question. Is there any pictures after anyone has used it?

I don't have pictures, but I've recently sprayed my brand new bumperinserts myself (were delivered in plastic-black) with exactly the same product (Ixell 205139 from Renault, colour:"Pierre a fusil").

If you treat the inserts right before spraying (degrease very well and plus a few layers of good plastic primerspray) followed by 4 or 5 layers of paint, the results are fantastic. Absolutely no colourdifference with the original paint on the other bumperinserts on my car. I was asthonished myself! I thought I'd give it a go myself instead of having them professionally sprayed for 100 Euro's. My dealer told me they use it themselves for minor repairs.

The colour mentioned (Pierre a fusil) is the colour for the Dynamique versions of the Megane (with the bronze/copper coloured inserts).

Is this paint the same colour as the door mouldings on a 2003 Privilege? I just got a replacement moulding which turned out to be virtually black and different to the ones on the car which are more grey with a metallic sheen. Until then I never realised there were two distinct colours to the mouldings and the bit about the Dynamique having bronze/copper inserts has confused me further. I'd certainly describe mine as grey and the can in the photo looks right but I need clarification. Basically, can anyone tell me if the Dynamique and Privilege inserts are the same?

Well...bronze/copper...it's how the light falls on the paint. It can certainley also be described as grey, but it's a diffcult colour to describe. The gray colour of the cap on the spraycan looks a bit to grey, but that might be the camera. I'd say it's more grey than bronze.

On the colourlist from Renault there are 2 different "Pierre a fusil" codes: 205139 and 205301, both for the Megane. The desription is the same, but the 205301-code seems to be for the 2007 and newer models, 205139 only is listed up to 2006.

I've looked at some Pivilege and Dynamique versions on the internet, and they seem to have the same colour inserts. Why don't you make a trip to your dealer and look at some different versions there?

Thanks Renier. I just ordered it anyway using the part code you gave earlier. A Renault specialist near me in south London is charging just over £8 including VAT so not much risk.

I did, incidentally, see a Scenic with colour coded inserts that I would definitely describe as bronze-ish so maybe there is another option.

Just goes to show ebay is not always a good deal.

Correct, It's always wise to first check the local dealer, sometimes they are almost as cheap/expensive as fleabay
