Keyless enty

Hi, just been looking round the site and cannot find any reference to this issue but apologies if its already out there some where.
I have a 2005 5 door 1.6 expression and would like to know how do you activate or turn on the keyles entry system? I know people with this car that has the keyles system working but no body seems to know how to turn it on! I always have to use the keyfob card to open all doors! I can see behind the door handles that the sensors are there...can't think of any other information to add......any body able to help with this?

Do you have to use the card in the slot to start the car? If so this means you do not have keyless entry, the black covers behind the handles are merely blanking covers. If you don't (ie you can leave it in your card in your pocket to start the car) then there is a fault with the system.

Yeah unfortunately I do. So does that mean that the system cannot be activated then?.....bummer if that's the case

Its not a case of simply activating the system, your car hasn't got the necessary components fitted for handsfree start / keyless entry.
