timing 1.6 16 valve

hi there ive got a renault megane cabriolet 1.6 16 valve no timing marks on engine any ideas how to put timing belt back on just replaced hydrolic tappets and need to put back together but there is no marks on the belt or on the engine to line the timing up please help

It is all in the manual and the manual is in our Links section. It is in French, so use an on-line translator or find the English version... Basically, you will need two special tools -- one to locate the TDC and one to position the camshafts. There are also torque values listed, which you may find useful. My engine is different, so, I guess, this is it from me... Good luck!
