cam belt service

Hi Andy

at what milage should one change the cam belt and related parts...??
i got 117000 kms on my 1.9dci

I believe that Renault quote 72000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes sooner. My Haynes manual states 36000 miles or 4 years ! Hope this helps, regards Damian. :-)

right about renault, got a letter from renault just before our meganes 5th birthday in july. only done 40k but belt still deteriorates over time so better safe than sorry and get a big bill for a stuffed engine.

the most annoying part about the cam belt is the amount it costs when the cam belt kit is under £60 and the waterpump under £20
