I've had the common Airbag fault light traced back to a faulty ribbon on the squib, and stripped it down to try and repair it with a replacement ribbon. In researching this I found this link to a European repair service and whilst I've decided to replace mine with a new one, I thought it might be useful to someone.

The assembly squib assembly is actually very complicated and it would take a real soldering pro to get it right. When factoring the time and cost of a replacement ribbon I decided to save myself the hassle and intend to buy new. The link wants around 50 euros for an exchange with a 12 month guarantee. UK customers have to email them for a postage quote. Shame no one in the UK is doing this?
