Hardings of Hemel Hempsted

Meant to add this when I first joined.

I bought my 55 plate Sporty from Hardings in Hemel Hempsted, which is not the most local dealer to me. The salesman was very helpful and not pushy at all, and was very willing to spend time answering my questions, even though it was a Sunday and he was by himself with people wanting to view cars on the forecourt. I hate hard sell, and had walked out of a couple of showrooms previously because of their approach (notably Carland in Enfield. I hated the fact that you are press ganged at the door and escorted around by a "meeter greeter" and even if there is nothing there of interest, you are still given the hard sell by another salesman just in case a car turns up in the future).

When I first viewed the car it needed some minor bodywork TLC, which was done, and a week later I phoned up with some niggles, which they dealt with promptly and without quibble, notably 2 screws had come adrift from the wheel arch which attach the bumper to the wing, and the guy promised £20 of diesel in the tank when I picked it up. The bumper was sorted locally, and I received a short letter of apology & a £20 cheque in the post. They even collected me from the train station on the day I collected the car, about a 10 min drive away.

So for my part, thumbs up Hardings
