Car was taken in with hesitation on acceleration problem, Renault Wimbledon in Weir Road fitted a turbo pressure sensor and related conduit, which didn't solve the problem and then did 2 hours of investigation, where they didn't come up with any solution but suggested that the entire instrument panel needed removal and possibly the replacement of the internal wiring loom. I was charged over £500 for the work they did and the suggested work was easily going to cost that again. I decided to remove my car and get a second opinion. Took the car to a small independent mechanic in Lewisham who managed to find and solve thhe problem (an electrical short between the accelerator and ECU) in an hour and a half at the cost of £88. I am currently pursuing compensation from Renault Wimbledon under 'The supply of Goods and Services Act'.
