Can any other 1.5 Dci Dynamique owners tell me if their car has auto headlights/wipers. I just bought mine two weeks ago and was told it did have these features, and it hasn't. It is an 08 plate. Puzzled.

On the facelift model from 06 to present, the auto headlights and wipers became an optional extra! seemingly the reason was becasue on the 02 to 05 versions they had electrochrome mirror as standard which also meant auto headlights and wipers as standard.

As nissan now do the wiring on the facelift model, they supposedly noticed problems with the origional wiring of renno, and so they tweaked dynamique so that auto lights and wipers were extras and so was the electrochrome mirror and the footwell lighting, but cruise control became a standard feature! id assume it was to try and limit the amount of problems, as alot of people would buy the standard dynamique without adding any extras!

Ok that explains it then, thought I was going mad! As a neighbour of mine has a 55 plate one and his has the auto headlights and wipers and insisted that mine would have also. His does have AUTO written on the stock end, which mine hasn't . Doesn't bother me, just wanted to find out. Thanks again to all replies.

I have auto headlights and wipers but I don't have the electrochrome mirror. Was the mirror optional on 55 plates are am I missing something that I should have?

Same for me but mine is a 2005 on a 54 plate.

I have auto headlights /wipers and also the electrochrome mirror ,mine is a 03 Dynamique

it's always something to do with money, be it 1) to save money or 2) to get more money out of the customer

Not quite. My facelifted May 06 has auto lights and wipers, and no CC. I know my mother-in-law's June 07 Scenic has CC but not auto lights and wipers. So it's sometime etween the two when the spec changed - probably for MY07.

I have just got an 07 Megane. Got cruise control but no auto wipers/ auto lights. A colleague of mine has a 56 plate Megane with the opposite config, auto wipers/ auto lights but no CC. Mine also has the ability to start the engine without the key being in the slot, my colleagues needs the key in the slot to start!

Seems like certain styles of Megane have certain features!

As above from the facelift models onwards you had to pay for the extra's. So whoever ordered the car new picked what was on the car, so you will have a lot of different combinations out there. My neighbour has a base model 06 plate 1.6 with leather seats with nothing extra on it.

I think the electrochrome mirror was optional on 03-06 meganes. The wiring is there, just a case of fitting and it works.

Hmmm. I have the auto lights, electrochrome mirror, auto wipers but no cruise control or heated seats - although the wiring loom is there. Minefield.

Mines on a 04 plate and i hae the auto lights, wipes and dimming mirror.

However the wipers do pee me off at times, they tend to speed up sometimes after 30 secs, i dunno whether there is a setting to adjust that.
Theres 1, 2, 3, and 4 rain drops bit which you can select on the stalk, anyone know what this is for?

They adjust the sensitivity of the auto wipers.
