towbar wiring

Postby onlydiesels » Wed Aug 29, 2007 10:53 pm

does anyone on here have a towbar+wiring fitted to their megane?just asking cos i want to wire up mine, and don`t want to pay over the odds for a dedicated wiring kit if it can be wired by the conventional method ie splicing into wiring+soldering
my ability to do the job is not the problem,i just don`t want to cause any probs with the electrics if i need the dedicated kit?
anyone out there done this? any help on this appreciated, pics would be even better.

2003 1.9 dci dynamique hatch.

Hello mate,

I have one fitted on my CC and you don't need a car specific wiring loom if that's what you mean. You only need those if you have the bulb failure warning so it by-passes that and stops a fault code coming up.
