Driver side indicator issues

Postby Knapster » Tue May 01, 2007 5:09 pm

Hi all
Wondering if anyone can help
My drivers side indicator has stopped working, the back and the wing indicators are fine, just the one in the headlight, I have changed the bulb but no joy, dose anyone know how the wiring works in the megane (its on a 53 plate) I spoke to a garage today (not a renault dealer) and he said it will need a whole new headlight.....
Any information on how the indicators work in a megane would be great

Cheers

Andy

The garage is correct. You will require a new head light unit.. Common problem i'm afraid due to poor electrical contacts....

Although having said, make sure you twist the indictor bulb holder around. If in doubt have a look at the other light, and make sure the metal contacts are orientated the same way on both sides (north west and south east facing on mine I think). I had this same proble mwth a mates car and even Renault said it needed a new head light. A few adjustments later and its working. Shocking service from renault.
