Cabin Filter

Postby AlexB » Thu Mar 01, 2007 3:39 pm

Does anybody know where to buy an activated carbon cabin filter? They go in the place of the standard pollen filter.

This is an example of such a filter. There are also filters made by Bosch.
Purflux AHC199 (anti-odor)
(not AH199 !!!)
Code 634 419 148 0
Gencode 3 286064 191480

A standard filter can be bought from GSF:
mmcu2425 £11.75+ vat.

I asked my dealer and he said that they only have it for the scenic model.

Would like to know where to get these though.

No, Scenic II uses a different filter. This data is from Purflux:

Megane Scenic II -- all engines: AH(C)234 size 47x216x237
Megane II -- all engines and CC: AH(C)199 size 42x249x181

If anyone is interested, Purflux publishes notes (pictures actually) on replacement of cabin filters. These are only available for the models with left steering wheel.
