But also be aware very shortly VOSA will be reinstating Extra number plate checks at MOT time..

See this special notice https://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosacorp/reposit ... 010-07.pdf

As you can see the plates will not be allowed a patterned background, Must show BS number, etc etc

I was speaking to our local VOSA MOT inspector last week and he stated that the reinstatment is imminent.. So "Show Plates" will be a reason for Rejection at MOT..

hi there,

Hope someone can help me please.

Today I got my new private numbers plates made from Halfords. When they try to change them, they actually struggled. They said we have not got key to unscrew the current number plates. Does anybody know which key is needed to unscrew number plates....

After unscrewing the old ones, is it best to stick the new one with sticking pads or do it by screws?

Please help
