Haynes Manual valid for newer models?

Postby M3gane » Tue Oct 18, 2011 12:29 pm

I'm after a Haynes manual but the only one I can find states that it is suitable for 2002-05 models - would this still be mostly valid for my 07?

I'm initially after it for removing parts of the dash to fix some awful rattle noises, but then for future general maintenance.

Cheers

As far as I know/remember the changes made in 2006 to Phase 2 were mainly cosmetic. Exterior light and bumpers, new designs of alloys. Interior trim and dash. I would say probably 90% remained the same although some parts will be superceded by newer versions of the same thing (if that makes sense).
If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will be along soon to correct me.

Spot on. My 02 - 05 manual has no major discrepancies with regard to my 08 plate (phase II). Certainly nothing that does not require common sense.
Silver 08 plate 5dr 1.5dci Dynamique 106 Tech Run (re-mapped)

Red 03 plate 5dr 1.9 Dynamique dci120

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

Thought that might be the case.

I have an Haynes workshop manual for the megane and it covers dates Oct2002-Oct 2008.
It appears that there isn't much difference in the later models, although the engine multiplex unit looks somewhat different. :conf
