Window regs from RN

Postby Dwabo » Sun Sep 18, 2011 5:00 pm

Both my front window regulators have gone and I have got a 3rd party warranty. Although Renault cover them for up to 7 years now they still want 100 pound per window to fix. Will Renault just supply me with the regulator as my warranty does not cover main dealer labour charges so I can get the regulators and get them fitted at a local garage

There should be no charge for the replacement from the Renault Garage. Contact Renault Customer Services

Renault only cover 75% of the cost of the repair...
However I don't know how £100 per window equates to 75% of the cost as I'm sure a window regulator fitted isn't £400
Can anyone confirm the actual costs of a regulator plus fitting?

The fix is either a regulator or a regulator + wiring loom. (According to them) only stripping down by Renault will confirm if you need the loom or not.

The price for a regulator inc parts, labour and VAT from Renault is near enough £312 meaning if your contribution at 25% is about £78.

The price for a regulator + wiring loom inc parts, labour and VAT from Renault is near enough £400 meaning your contribution @ 25% would be £100.

There seems to be numerous dubious fixes listed within the forum + there is a guy who will fix your regulator for £38 on ebay if you want to go that route.
