what tyres are better ?

hi i am getting some fox fx004 alloys in 18'' they are 18x8, the tyres u can choose the size of , i can either get 225/40/18 or 215/35/18 what tyres are better and which ill look better ? please help! thanks

225 40 r18 is the closest size at 637mm diameter original 205 50 r17 is 637mm

Decent 225s will give you better grip in dry, 215's will aqua plane less, id defiantly go for 225's tho..

I have a spare wheel and rim for a megane cabriolet 54 reg if anyone wants it.i bought it as i dont trust that emergency cannister they give you instead of spare wheel.if anyone is in the north east area and wants it (tyne and wear ) just let me know at sharp_derek@yahoo.co.uk and i will give you further details. p.s. i am trading the car in part ex in 6 days time.
