Clock surround panel

Postby madwedge » Fri Aug 27, 2010 11:30 am

Hello,

The plastic surround bit where the clock is on top of the dashboard has some cosmetic damage and I'l like to replace it. It seems easy enough to do but what's the proper name for this item please? I'm having trouble finding replacements on eBay etc.

Many thanks

Off to the dealers.. with the trouser around your ankles so you can be shafted (refering to the price you will have to pay)

Ahhh I get ya, lol sorry.

I was more inclined to look at ebay or go to a scrappy to get one off a knackered Megane??

I just wanted the proper name for this item if anyone knows??

I would call it a bezel, but here is one on ebay.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm after Dougie, and have seen that one on ebay but seems to be the only one! lol.

I think that one comes with the display though which isn't what I'm after so I'm hoping just to find the 'bezel' for a lot less. Hopefully!

Cheers though

As, what appears to be, typical with Renault, they do sell this plastic panel however it only comes 'WITH' the display attached leaving a tidy bill of c£150!! They don't sell them seperately apparently.

The guy was also saying that, cos of my spec, my clock display show a lot more info that lower spec Meganes?? Is this bull?

If it does display more then what additional info would this be?

Edit: Incidently the part number he gave me was 8200491110 however as I say this is the panel with the clock display attached.

Thanks
