Assuming it's a PETROL RENAULT MEGANE DYNAMIQUE VVT 1998cc (2002 - 2008) then use Mobil Synt S 5W-40 Superior performance synthetic engine oil.

Go here to find out: opieoils.co.uk - they sell the oil and filters + a discount for members. Use the Mobil not the Fuchs or anything else. It's miles better.
Silver 08 plate 5dr 1.5dci Dynamique 106 Tech Run (re-mapped)

Red 03 plate 5dr 1.9 Dynamique dci120

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

On a side note believe it or not Halfords will often beat the prices you have just paid dependent on what offers are on and will partically give you the oil for free if you have a trade card. They had that oil for under £40 (37 I think) a month back. So always shop around!
