Service & Cambelt for my Megane CC

Postby Jasonthejoker » Tue Jul 14, 2009 8:51 pm

My car is a due a service. It;s a 2004 1.9dCi Megane Cabriolet with 56k on the clock. The service light is on and it;s booked in with West Renault in Cambridge. The guy says it;s cambelt time because it's 72k or 5 years. They're charging £200 for the service and £299 for the cambelt. Is this steep? They've served me well before (I also have a 2004 Grand Scenic.) and always go the extra mile - collect car from home, which is 15miles away, wash it, etc. Is it too steep? Should I get it done?

Thanks

Jason

Service from Wests Renault, Cambridge, was as always excellent. Someone collected my car and it will return later fixed and clean. Excellent service!
