Which headlight bulbs

Postby FairyBurst » Tue Mar 23, 2010 8:15 am

Hi,

I have an 07 GT and for some reason I am going through headlight bulbs like they are free! In truth I am suspecting the bumpy road I travel down has something to do with it (damn council not filling in potholes!).

Anyway, I need to replace the dipped passenger bulb. I have had to do it before and thanks to the nice guide on this site I have become a bit of an ace replacing the bulbs!

What I wanted to know was what bulbs people recommended, typically I just go buy a halfords own bulb....

Any advice most welcome.

Ive had halfords bulbs in the past, also blew after while. Im sure someone mentioned Osram long life bulbs think their have a three year warranty.
Make sure no moisture or bulb gets onto bulb, which side keeps blowing ?

Alan,

So far I think it is the passenger side twice and just the once for the drivers side. It is always the main bulb too.

I will take a look at the Osram bulbs in that case.

Thx.

Just make sure you don't touch the glass body of the bulb with bare hands. Otherwise the life of the bulb will be much shorter.
