Hi can any one tell me if shell helix ultra 5/40 is any good for my 54 plate 1.9 dci megane also any one got any detailed advise about cleaning the EGR valve
as the car has done 40000miles and not sure if its been done.

i used that stuff i my 1.9 dci.. its good.

This is what MSDS for this oil say:
"Preparation description : A blend of severely hydrotreated slack wax and additives.
Highly refined mineral oil."
Should it be called "synthetic"... or not? Again, ask Oilman for advice.

As long as it meets the ACEA standard of B4 then it will be okay.
There are lots of 5W40 "synthetic" oils available from different sources, that will be fine and dandy for your Megane 1.9dCi. If you want a specific recomendation pm Oilman, he might be able to do you a similar deal on a better oil?
