Glow Plugs

I own a 2004 renault scenic 1.5 dci (80bhp), I was wanting to fit new glow plugs due to rough starting problem. Auto parts shop only had glow plugs for 2006 onwards. I did not realise this until I got home and checked the part code myself, ie these should have been Lucas LP073, he gave me Lucas LP027, when I asked him about this he said they no longer get the LP073's from their supplier. The only difference I can see is the length external to the engine, the plug thread and part that goes into engine is same length. Has anyone else fitted Lucas glow plugs (LP027) and is there a difference between the 1.5dci in the 2004 and 2006 models ? Any help would be appreciated. Note I did contact FAI who manufacture and supply these, but their tech dept would only say they are very similar and would not say they were 100% sure if the two were compatible.
