Rear brake discs,

Postby jamhops » Tue Jun 21, 2011 9:48 pm

I had a search and couldn't find these mentioned at all and wondered if anyone has any related information and recommendations;

Ebay has drilled and grooved brake discs £57.95 delivered and sold by Mintbitz,
Item number: 180466176604

But a bit worried about getting them as would like a relevant review first? The other consideration was SNR discs from euro carparts but there £100 so a fair difference, or are there any other good recommendations? Also any break discs recommendations and anything I am missing?

Thanks

Ben

As the rears have the bearings in I would reccomend getting disks with the bearings already pressed in, nightmare trying to press the old ones in and chances are they'll nee replacing before the disks wear out. So IMO your bet doing both at the same time(getting disks with them already in)

If this is the case any recommendations (I thought the eBay ones had everything :roll: ). Euro Car Parts have 30% off atm
(https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/30-off- ... end/962226) so are any of those good enough or any alternate recommendations not really picking just dont want to spend loads atm

Not really a boy racer the odd ragging but I would like the car to look good so can the calipers could be painted at the same time right?

Thanks

I got that item number simply because I don't trust the cheep brand bearings, but there are alternatives starting from £85 ish.. Can't comment much on them tho, as for drilled an grooved brake discs I have them on the front, brand is mtech, can be foundnon eBay came with mintex pads and they are fantastic!
I have posted previously about them so check my other posts..

If I were you I'd buy the Renault ones, better safe than sorry, but I would imagine the cheaper ones would be fine.. Just with the Renault ones I can prove when I bought them and when they were fitted so if anything goes wrong with the bearings I can get free ones if there still in warranty..
