Yay!! My tickets arrived today.

I have two tickets but no one to go with. I have a week to pull some nice young lady who will put up with my driving and not be bored stiff by looking at cars all day... it would help if she were blonde and tall too. I'm a 5'10" blonde girlie myself so I look daft with a short girlfriend.

I'll be the one in a Renault Megane CC, not wearing a Renault Polo shirt... unless I buy one there and change into it

Onlydiesels - Not sure whether this will change with it now being at silverstone, but the past 3 years is has been free to park and should still be this way. They never seem to let you park infield unless you are part of a special owners club or have a disabled badge.

With the normal tickets you can go prety much anywhere including the paddock, and possibly a pitlane tour... at donnington the only place you couldnt go was some of the VIP hospitality places and the main grandstand on the start/finish straight...

Parking wise, I am almost certain it will be free as all events held here have free parking, but I would expect big queues as last year some people were waiting up to 3 hours to get into the parking areas... should be a bit better though as access to silverstone is loasds better...

I will look out for the Blondes in the CC swapping into Renault shirts hehe

We are visiting the corresponding event on Nurburgring in Germany in August...I will post some pics afterwards

at the rate Renault Holdcoft bloody Crewe are going, I will be driving down to Silverstone in their Renault Clio 1.1 Campus with missing sodding aerial.

It's no where near as good as the 5's were and sounds like a hair dryer

Well overall I thought it was a good event... I prefer donnington to silverstone to watch, but just my personal opinion.

Getting there was loads quicker than donnington though as the access to silverstone is prety good...

however there was one thing, that if I were Renault, I would be a little embarassed by...

Did anyone see the dancing girls in the Renaultsport tent?????????

My god they were shocking... it looked like they had been recruited from the local night club the night before and then told to put a rutine together in 20mins... I was embarrased watching it...

Other than that it was good haha

world series was excellent, my meg stood out like a sore thumb (although it would do being lime green in middle of field with other cars). had excellent day, could only make the saturday! got back to car late, around 7ish and was only car left in field, made it very easy to get out back onto A43, shame it wasn't so easy on 31st august for BTCC at silverstone!
