I'll be taking my meg for a long drive come Easter. From Oslo to Molde (Norway) and back - about 1000 KM altogether. Wife and son will take a plane so I'm free to cruise with music on LOUD! Can't wait

I get a similar feeling when I take my 2.0 16v Mégane from Belfast to Birmingham about 4 times a year... pity I don't get any where near that MPG figure!
I love my Mégane too!

Re: Meganes are amazing
Its a bad job when you cant EXPECT you car to do 820mile, rather than being proud of it when it does.
Last summer i drove from Belfast to The north of spain. Took 3 days including the boat and she didnt miss a beat. She was pushed hard on some of the wide open french roads. In that trip i did 3000+ miles.

To be honest with you theres alot of cars that struggle nowdays, I think with all the electronics in these cars many of us are suprised when our cars make it.

Re: Meganes are amazing
I expect my megane to go everywhere i tell it to, it'll be thrown to the ground and struck very roughly if it started giving me problems on long journeys.
Seriously though i take my car up and down the country every week and done 40,000 miles plus in a year (thats taken her over 90,000). And to be fair, only recently has she had any major(ish) problems. Infact, i've been doing shorter journeys(80 miles a day) and she's having more problems than when i was doing 200 miles a day.
And contrary to most megane problems, its never had an electrical one! Though do avoid hitting a duck family at 110mph, that becomes disastrous; for the car and the ducks... and my ears; still not recovered from the girlfriends rant on speeding.
