Re: steering noise
Hi, I realise this thread has probably gone a little cold now, but I just wanted to see how you got on with this issue.
I just bought an '05 plate 1.6VVT Megane CC (only about 29k on the clock, full service history) a couple of weeks ago and all runs well apart from the occasional clunk from the general direction of the front wheels when turning hard (almost full lock) at crawling speed, e.g. when trying to park or manoeuvring into my ludicrously narrow driveway. No handling or steering problems at all at speed. It doesn't sound particularly terrible, but if it's something I need to sort out, I had better get it done while I still have the 3-month dealer warranty. Is this similar to what you had?
Many thanks,
Ian
