What kind of mpg are cc geting?

Postby wanda » Wed Sep 10, 2008 10:18 am

Mine is giving 45-51mpg in town and 58-71mpg on the motorway.

Best range on one tank has been 748 miles, but I had to bite my nails the last 20 miles

I get around 53 normally however I last rest it 2 weeks ago and have done 800 miles and after after doing a motorway trip of 200 miles today the overall average is reading 59.2, I am impressed as it has never averaged this over 800 miles before and it is due its first service next week after covering 13500 miles in 12 months so I am hopeful I will see an improvment after the service.

I hate to admit this but when I give my mrs to dry she always gets the mpg up so why not try letting your partner do it for you?

Why is that almost better than the 1.6cc? Must really be feather footed.

My 2.0l DTI (150)07 plate gives me around 34-40 in town ,and 47-54 on a long run depending on the time of year. Not as good as my old 1.9(05)plate Vectra Sri(150) which gave me 40-44 in town and 54-63 on a run.
