Hi all.

I have a 2004 1.6 convertible. It failed the MOT on the nearside ball joint (excessive play). I thought it would be easier to replace the whole wishbone (makes sense in the long run). Anyhow, looking online using my reg number I see there is an 18mm and a 16mm version available. How do I find out which size fits my car? I thought they'd all be the same?

My last c c was an 04 and that was 18mm however it was a 1.9 diesel, I seem to remember being told the 16mm joints where the very early ones, I think I measured the exposed threads on the ball joint, it shouldn't be hard to determine the correct size 2mm is quite a jump.just make sure you return unjust in case.
I always changed the wishbone i once tried just the ball joint and to be honest it wasn't worth the hassle.
